If you’re here thinking “wait… didn’t this just happen?” — you’re not wrong.
This is the second time this year I’ve had to mark everything as sold out, and I promise there’s a very good reason for it.
I’m moving the Homebody studio. 🥹✨
And not in a small, “shuffle a few boxes around” way — in a big, life-changing, business-altering, been-waiting-for-this-for-11.5-years kind of way.
After years of working out of spare rooms, basements, shared spaces, storage units, temporary setups, and places that kind of worked…
I’m finally giving this business a home that matches the dream I’ve had for it since day one.
Right now, everything you see marked as sold out is packed up, wrapped up, labeled, and getting ready to move. Candles, skincare, fragrances — all of it.
Instead of rushing restocks or half-setting things up, I decided to pause the shop, do this the right way, and come back stronger.
Homebody will be back late January, and I cannot wait to show you what’s next.
Pros:
Homebody is getting a real, dedicated studio — more space, better workflow, and room to grow after 11.5 years of making it work wherever I could.
Better restocks + better products — this move means calmer production, more consistency, and more thoughtful seasonal releases.
Cons (but not really) :
The shop is temporarily sold out — because everything is packed up so it can come back stronger, better organized, and ready for late January
You have to wait just a little bit — but that pause means new collections, returning favorites, and some really fun things I’ve been dreaming up for the new space.
I started Homebody 11.5 years ago with a rolling cart, a tiny budget, and a lot of hope.
Back then, I couldn’t have imagined the community that would form around it — the messages, the repeat customers, the “this smells like home” stories, the people who’ve been here through every version of this brand.
For a long time, I made things work wherever I could. And honestly? That scrappiness kept Homebody alive. But it also kept it a little cramped.
This move feels like a deep exhale.
Like finally saying: this business deserves room to grow.
This studio isn’t just about more square footage — it’s about possibility.
Here’s what I’m excited about (and actively planning):
Better, more consistent restocks (no more frantic last-minute pouring)
New seasonal collections that actually get the time they deserve
Limited drops + special releases just for the Homebody community
Behind-the-scenes content that shows how everything is made
In-person moments — think small “shop the shelves” days, cozy studio hangs, and first dibs on new scents before they go online
A workflow that lets me make things calmly, thoughtfully, and sustainably
Basically: fewer fires to put out, more space to create things you (and I) love ☻
I know it can be frustrating to land on a sold-out shop, especially if you were hoping to grab a favorite. Thank you for being patient with me while I move, set up, and build something that will last.
This isn’t a shutdown.
It’s a reset.
And a really hopeful one.
The shop will reopen late January
I’ll be sharing updates, sneak peeks, and progress along the way
Your favorite products are coming back
New things are coming too 👀
If you’ve ever rooted for Homebody, supported a small business, or believed in slow, thoughtful growth — this chapter is for you.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for sticking with me. And thank you for letting me take this moment to move the heart of Homebody into a place where it can really thrive.
I’ll see you very soon. 💛
Yes, everything is sold out right now — the Homebody studio is moving.
No, we’re not going anywhere — the shop will be back late January!
This is a big, exciting upgrade — after 11.5 years, Homebody is getting the space it deserves
Good things are coming — restocks, new collections, and fun studio ideas are on the way.
If you’re reading this and thinking, “How can I support Homebody during this transition?” — first of all, you’re rad. Truly. Thank you for even asking.
Supporting a small business doesn’t always have to mean buying something right this second (especially when everything is packed in boxes), and your encouragement, patience, and continued enthusiasm mean more than you know.
If you’re itching to shop in the meantime, one of the best ways to support Homebody right now is by visiting our stockists + shopping locally. Seeing Homebody products on independent shop shelves is such a full-circle moment for me, and it directly supports both this brand and other small businesses at the same time.
Sharing posts, telling a friend about your favorite scent, or popping into a local shop that carries Homebody all make a real difference.
This community is the reason Homebody has made it this far, and I’m endlessly grateful to have you here.
Thank you for being here, for cheering me on, and for sticking with Homebody through all of its chapters — even the messy, box-filled ones.
This pause is temporary, but the excitement I feel about what’s next is very real. I can’t wait to reopen the shop, share the new space with you, and keep making things that feel good to bring into your home.
Until then, thank you for your patience, your support, and your kindness. It means more than I can ever put into words. I’ll see you again very soon — late January can’t come fast enough.
— Elle 💛
